Mildred C. Bachman

Mildred Cecelia Bachman, 98, of Allentown, passed away on July 14, 2016 at Gilchrist Hospice Facility in Towson, MD. Born in Allentown on April 20, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Cecelia (Judt) Mirth. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Allentown. Mildred graduated from Moravian College in 1935 and continued her education at Lehigh University. She taught at Central Elementary School in Allentown for 25 years until retiring in 1987. She was a founding member and former membership chairperson for the West Park Civic Association. Mildred was predeceased by her brothers Walter, Joseph, and Robert, and her sister Edna, her God daughter Kristina and aide Doris.

Survivors: Son, Michael Bachman and his partner Jerome Chandler of Towson, MD; Ex husband, David Bachman of Russellville, AR; and nieces Bunny, Lisa, Kathy nephews Buddy and Kyle, and sister in laws Harriet and Margaret, cousin Ted, and her aides Andrietta, Phyllis, and Doretha.

Services: 11:00 AM, Wed., July 20, 2016 at WEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown. Viewing: 10:00 - 10:45 AM, Wed., at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Fairview Cemetery. (www.weberfuneralhomes.com)
