Maureen P. Roman King, 74, of Allentown, PA, passed away June 16th, 2024. She was born to parents Francis and Grace (Mahoney) King October 6th, 1949, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Maureen was the wife of Frank Roman, who she adored and was the love of her life. Frank was her best friend and biggest supporter for their 37 years of marriage before his passing in 2021.

Maureen was a lifelong advocate for those living with disabilities. She had spina bifida, which never slowed her down, and sought to improve the lives of anyone around her facing struggles with their own conditions. Maureen was incredibly generous, and approached life lighthearted and childlike. She loved animals, and had a small herd of cats in her back yard she cared for. Maureen was so funny, always ready with a joke. She loved to throw a party and host and cook for her friends, especially meatloaf, and every year, her house would be decorated for Christmas by September, ready for all the holiday gatherings.

Maureen is survived by her dear friends Frances Neupauer, Amanda Rosario, and Sophia Rosario, as well as her fellow residents and the caring staff of Good Shepherd Home.

Maureen's friends request everyone wear bright colors in her memory. In lieu of flowers, all are invited to make a donation in Maureen's honor to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital

Services for Maureen will be held Monday, June 24th, at Weber Funeral Home 1619 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18102 with a calling hour at 10:30 a.m. and funeral service at 11:30 a.m., and burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park 1500 Airport Rd, Allentown, PA 18109
