Maryrose McGroarty in her 86th year passed away Monday, Feb 7, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Margaret and Cornelius J. McGroarty II. She was a graduate of Nesbitt Memorial Hospital School of Nursing following attendance at College Misericordia in Dallas, PA and St Joseph's College in N. Windham, ME. Maryrose had been an Assistant Vice President of Personnel for Stuyvesant Life Insurance Company and National American Insurance Company of New York, located in Allentown, PA. She was also a member of the Allentown Chamber of Commerce. She retired from N.E. Pennsylvania Blood Services, located in Wilkes-Barre, PA where she had been Associate Director of Nursing coordinating the Autologous and Directed Programs which she retired from in October, 1993. Maryrose is survived by her brother, Cornelius J. McGroarty III and wife Regina, Nieces: Maryrose McGroarty and Maureen Lynn. Nephews: Cornelius J McGroarty IV and wife Elly, Bradley McGroarty and Timothy McGroarty and wife Natalie. Great nieces: Siobhan McGroarty, Regina Lynn, Morgan Lynn, Lauren Lynn, Stacie Hostetter, and husband Jeff. Great Nephews: Bradley McGroarty II, C.J. McGroarty V, and Paul McGroarty, Great Grand Nephew; Gavin Hostetter, also, predeceased by Brother Paul McGroarty, nephews, Paul McGroarty Jr. and Christopher McGroarty. Services: 9:45 am Saturday February 12, 2011, Weber Funeral Homes, P.C., 1619 Hamilton St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am St. Paul Catholic Church, 2nd and Susquehanna Sts.
