Mary Walko, 95 passed away December 23, 2017 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. Born in Mountain Top, PA on April 12, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (Rishko) Hollock. Mary was the wife of the late Joseph Frank Walko for 54 years until his death in 2000.

Mary retired from Allen Sportswear, where she was a member of the ILGWU for 20 years. In their later years, Mary and her husband resided a B'nai Birth where Mary volunteered with the daily lunches and delivering resident newsletters. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and knitting, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic church, Allentown. Mary was lovingly known as, "Nan" by many.

She was predeceased by a son Thomas; brothers: Joseph, Francis, and Emil; and a sister, Helen Sherksnas.

SURVIVORS: Son, Robert Walko; daughters, Jane Capers and her husband Gene, and MaryAnn Walko; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Brothers: Nicholas and Raymond; Sisters: Ann Blum, Margie Brunner, Sophie Maurer, Catherine Mack, and Esther Mayka.

SERVICES: A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 501 Ridge Avenue Allentown, PA. Viewing will be held from 9AM to 945AM at WEBER FUNERAL HOME 502 Ridge Avenue Allentown, PA. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
