Marwan Ibrahim Awad of Whitehall, PA passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at home, peacefully in his sleep. He was 69 years old. Born in Zwatini, Syria in 1951, he was the son of the late Ibrahim and Adla (Allan) Awad. He was married to his loving wife, Souad Awad, for 43 years. He will forever be remembered for his fun-loving personality and his kind heart. He was the stable core of his family, and cherished his relationships with his siblings. He worked 11 years for Phoenix Clothing Co. and 28 years for the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Survivors: wife Souad, son Dany, daughter Donna, wife of Joseph Tannous of California. He loved his grandchildren with all of his heart: Yasmina, Viviana and Daliya Tannous. He is also survived by his brothers: Ghassan of New York, Harb and Yahya of Allentown, PA; sisters: Elenne Khouli, Georgette Saba and Jaklin Awad, of Allentown, PA, and Huda Barakat, of Lebanon. He is predeceased by brothers Mikhail, Elias and Mahmoud Awad; and sisters Mary and Etidel Awad.

Our family is accepting condolences on Saturday, January 23 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in lieu of home visits, at The Zwaitini Club, 625 N. 2nd Street, Allentown, PA. Services: Viewing on Tuesday, January 26 at 9:00 a.m. at St. George Orthodox Church, 1011 Catasauqua Ave., Allentown, with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Laurel Cemetery, Whitehall.
