Rev. Marshall J. Riu Jr., 95, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2020. Born in Coopersburg, he was the son of the late Marshall A. and Ester T. (Mack) Riu. He was preceded in passing by his loving wife of 61 years, Beatrice M. (Mann) Riu.

After graduating from Coopersburg High School, Marshall went on to serve in the United States Navy during WWII. After, he went to Lancaster Theological, graduating June 6, 1960. He served in the clergy for 51 years, retiring from Trinity United Church of Christ in Freemansburg on June 14, 2001.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Stephen M. Riu and his wife Patty of Erie, PA, and James D. Riu and his wife, Beverly of Hellertown, PA; his daughter, Rebecca A. Riu of Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Jessica, Angela, and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Doneven, Devin, Dominic, and Nicholina; and his sister, Lita M. Domanski.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother, Raymond A. Riu and a sister, Marilyn F. Fox.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 10AM at Woodland Cemetery, 5305 Blue Church Rd, Coopersburg, PA 18036.
