IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marjorie A.
Sutton
September 12, 1925 – December 7, 2023
Marjorie A. (Moloney) Sutton, 98, of Coopersburg, PA, passed away peacefully at The Village at LifeQuest, Quakertown, PA, December 7, 2023. She was the wife of Robert J. Sutton; they were married for 71 years. Born in Altoona, PA, on September 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Cletus G. Moloney and the late Genevieve (Eger) Moloney.
Marjorie was a 1942 graduate of West Catholic High School, Philadelphia. She went on to work as a comptometer operator and bookkeeper after high school at A&P, Lippincott Publishers, and in Drexel University's accounts receivable department.
She moved to Coopersburg in 1952 with her husband Robert and established Robert's dental practice, and later worked as Robert's office manager and dental assistant during the 1980s.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Limeport, for 71 years and volunteered for many years as part of the church cleaning group and choir. She attended daily Mass and weekly benediction at the Carmelite Monastery for decades. Her son John often said that she had a direct line to St. Anthony for locating missing objects! She also volunteered at Sacred Heart Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital for 15 years.
Marjorie made many beautiful crewel embroidery masterpieces as well as crocheted afghans for each family member. She was known for her intelligence, sharp memory, kindness, deep faith, and sense of humor. Marjorie always found the goodness in others, and had a kind word and compliment for everyone. She enjoyed family vacations in Ocean City, NJ, and at their cottage in Holiday Pocono, near Albrightsville, PA. She truly loved spending time with her grandchildren and never missed a game, recital, performance, birthday or holiday party, graduation, sacrament, or special Mass. She also had an uncanny ability to identify the flavor of boxed chocolates by looking at the shape and size of each individual piece.
She was predeceased by her 2 sisters Mary Moloney, Genevieve (Moloney) Burns, and son John T. Sutton.
