Marie G. Haas, 92, of Center Valley, passed away peacefully November 24, 2024. Born in Coopersburg, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Emma (Weider) Sterner. Marie was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph W. Haas Sr. in 1999.

After working for many years as a sewing machine operator, Marie worked under Judge Mellenberg and Judge Gardener as tip staff and court crier for 18 years until her retirement in 1994. She was a Democratic Committee Woman and also worked the polls. Marie was also an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was involved with their Altar and Rosary Society.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jo Ann M. Haas of Center Valley and Joseph W. Haas Jr. of Amherst, New York; and a brother, Leonard Sterner and his partner, Diane, of Macungie.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in passing by her siblings: Grace Keeler, Helen Colyer, Ida Lichtenwalner, Donald Sterner, Leon Sterner, and Claude Sterner Jr.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 8:30AM to 9:30AM at Norcross-Weber Funeral Home 101B. North Main Street Coopersburg, PA 18036. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 5050 St. Joseph Road Coopersburg, PA 18036. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's name to Lehigh Valley Hospice.
