Marguerite S. "Peg" Lichtenwalter, 97, formerly of Center Valley, died Wednesday March 5, 2008 in Phoebe Home, Inc., Allentown. She was the wife of the late PA Congressman Franklin H. Lichtenwalter. Born in Coopersburg, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Grace (Stoneback) Mumbauer. Peg was a life member of St. Johns U. C. C. of Coopersburg and former Treasurer of the women's guild of the E. PA Synod of the United Church of Christ. She served as secretary for the girl's missionary board in Tohickon Classes of the church. She was past vice-president of the Allentown Woman's Club and the Lehigh Valley Blind Assoc. She was a member of the Allentown Art Museum and the North PA Chapter of the O.E.S. Peg received and award for 25 years service as a Red Cross Gray Lady and volunteer at the Allentown Osteopathic Hospital, Allentown State Hospital and Good Shepherd Home and Rehab. Center.
