Margaret A. Scherman, 76, of Allentown, died Thursday March 6, 2008 in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall Twp. She was the wife of Edward W. Scherman for 41 years before his death on May 21, 1992. Born in Summit Hill, she was a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Anna (Duchala) Valent. She was a seamstress for various Allentown area mills for over 25 years before retiring in 1986. Survivors: Son, Edward W. and wife Susan and daughter Kathy A. wife of Walter C. Dwinal, Jr. all of Catasauqua; sisters, Bridget Horvath of Lansford, Bertha Callevechio of Summit Hill and Stephanie Wehr of Stroudsburg; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
