Obituary

Margaret "Midge" M. Brunner, 83, of South Whitehall passed away on May 4, 2017. in Phoebe Nursing Home with her loving husband Jules at her side. She was born on June 14th, 1933 in Allentown to the late John and Cecelia (Schrott) Willgruber

Midge was a 1951 graduate of Allentown High School. She was a registered nurse receiving her RN diploma from Sacred Heart School of Nursing; she went on to work there as a nurse and a nursing instructor. Midge had teaching and nursing degrees and awards from Temple University, College Misericordia, and the University of Penn. She was a critical care nursing instructor at ASH now LVHN and Allentown College now DeSales University. Midge retired in 1989, enjoyed traveling, skiing and singing in the choir at St. Thomas More for 25 plus years.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 47 years, Julius F. Brunner; brother, Bernard Willgruber and his wife Ann; Sister-in-law, Rose Schlosberg and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters; Anna and Elsie Willgruber, Cecelia Kovacs, Emma Pozzebon; brothers, John, Frank, and Joseph Willgruber.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM, Thursday, May 11th in St. Thomas More Church: 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown. A viewing will be held from 10AM until the time of service, all at the church. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association: www.alz.org.
