IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret "Margie"
M. Baranek
September 26, 1934 – October 11, 2021
Margaret "Margie" Baranek, 87, of S. Whitehall Township passed away on October 11, 2021 peacefully in her daughter's home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Fred M. Baranek who passed away in June of this year. They shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Horvath) Kantner.
Margie attended Sacred Heart grade school and graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1952. She and her family grew up in Sacred Heart parish and in more recent years, she attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was a loving wife and mother and always put her family's needs before her own. Her greatest joy was raising her four children. She also cared for her aging parents and helped raise her grandchildren. She enjoyed music, movies, playing Parcheesi and Scrabble, cooking, baking, animals, lively conversations and trips to the casino.
She is survived by her four children: Karen Jones (Donald), Daniel Baranek (Theresa), Andrew Baranek (Susan), and Maria Cawley (Terence). She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Erica Boesch, Andrew Baranek, Emily Heckman, Laura Baranek, Tim Baranek, Jacob, Samuel, and Jonthan Cawley and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Kantner and her Aunt, Martha Walls and her cousins, Betty Brennan and Mary Gillespie. She was predeceased by granddaughter, Margaret Cawley.
She had a profound impact on each of our lives and we will miss her dearly. Her greatest gift was the time she spent with each of us and the memories we share. Watch over all of us mom until we meet you again in Heaven.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 10AM until the mass of Christian burial at 11AM, all at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1046 W Cedar St. Allentown, PA.
