Margaret Dougherty, 92, of Allentown, died March 16, 2011, at the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Yost) Nikisher. She was the wife of the late John J. "Doc" Dougherty for 61 years until his death on Dec. 31, 2000. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown. She was a member of Brookside Country Club.
Survivors: Daughters, Patricia Mullin of Allentown, Doreen Dougherty of Hilton Head, SC, Mary Cramsey of Macungie, and Kathleen Capobianco of Allentown; Son, Dennis of Ramona, CA; Sisters, Elsie Vary, Hilda Zalutsky, and Jean Weber; 18 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Erna Smith, and a granddaughter, Denise Cramsey.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, 1825 W. Turner St., Allentown, PA. Viewing: 10:00 AM, Saturday until time of mass in the church. (www.weberfuneralhomes.com)
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the church and/or the Phoebe Home, 1925 W. Turner St., Allentown, PA.
