Margaret Theresa Bonenberger, 88, of Allentown, passed away peacefully July 22, 2023. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Nagy) Vari. Margaret was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 49 years, Raymond J. Bonenberger.

Margaret graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1952. After, she went on to work as an office manager for Duggan and Marcon for 30 years until her retirement. She played violin with the Allentown Symphony from 1965-1997 and then the Valley Pops Orchestra up until a couple of years ago. Margaret was involved with the Ladies Guild of St. Stephen of Hungary and she was a member of Harugari Club. She enjoyed baking, especially kiffles and wedding cakes.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Laura and her husband, David Sabol, and Regina and her husband, Scott Jacoby; grandchildren: Andrew Sabol, Ashley and Madison Jacoby; a brother, Francis Vari and his wife, Margaret; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing by her sisters, Ethel Vary and Ilona Napoli.

Professional services entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes. A Funeral Service and Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church (920 South 2nd Street Allentown, PA 18103) on Wednesday August 2, 2023.  Visitation will be held from 9am-10am and the service will begin at 10am, with burial at Resurrection Cemetery to immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's name to either St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the Covenant House of Pennsylvania.
