Obituary

Malcolm M. DeLong, 83, peacefully passed away Wednesday May 12, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg surrounded by his family.

Malcolm was the son of the late Melville DeLong and Verna (Searle) DeLong. He honorably served his country for six years in the U.S. Army just following the Korean conflict. He spent three years in Germany and was able to tour many European countries. Malcolm was employed by the City of Allentown for 12 years and the Allentown School District for 24 years before retiring.

Malcolm loved boating, handball, tennis, dancing, water and snow skiing. He was an avid bowler and was a member of Men's City Hall Bowling League. He enjoyed playing card games, sports and poker. He was a member of the American Legion and Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Survivors: Malcolm will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Martina Hunsicker and husband Steve, his son Brian Serianni; his granddaughters Kaylin Hunsicker, Ashley Hunsicker and husband Richard; and his great grandchildren, Gianna and Kennadi Byrne; and brother Theodore DeLong.

Services: Arrangements are being handled by Weber Funeral Home on 1619 Hamilton St. A private military honors graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1500 Airport Road in Allentown.  The family wishes to thank the Lehigh Valley Hospice Care team who took immeasurable steps to provide Malcolm comfort during his last hours of care.
