Mae E. Biery
Mae E. Biery, 94, of Allentown, went home to her Lord on Sunday, March 6, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown, PA, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Woodrow W. Biery. They celebrated 53 years of marriage on June 1, 1998. Born in Smyrna Mills, ME, June 3, 1916, Mae was the daughter of the late Clyde Cecil and Stella Frances (Miller) Brown. Mae was a 1934 graduate of Merrill High School in Smyrna Mills, ME, and a 1941 graduate of the Eastern Academy of Beauty Culture in Bangor, ME. She was a civilian employee in the Post Exchange at DOW Field, Bangor, ME, during WWII, where she met her late husband. Mae was a resident of Allentown for the past 64 years, living in the Lehigh Parkway for 14 years before moving to the Mountainville area where she resided for the past 50 years. Survivors: In addition to her son, Brian C. and his wife Dorothy (Zacek) of Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Althea Lloyd of Houlton, ME; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; She was predeceased by one sister, Madelyn E. Scripture of Brewer, ME. Services: Private. Interment: Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Arrangements, Weber Funeral Home, Allentown.
