Litizia "Lee" Merman Crisp
Litizia "Lee" Merman Crisp, 94, of Allentown, died May 12, 2007 at Easton Hospital, Easton. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Nicola and Carmela (Guiliano) Picone. She was the widow of George Merman (a local pharmacist) and Kenneth Crisp. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown. She owned and operated several beauty salons in the Allentown area. She managed a salon in C.K. Whitner's department store in Reading, PA and Orr's department store in Bethlehem, PA for Glenby Co. of New York. She later worked as a cosmetologist for Cedarbrook County Home for ten years. She took an active part in the Civic Little Theatre and the Municipal Opera Co. as a dancer and singer. Together with her father she played in benefit shows for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Allentown. She was a past officer, active member, and volunteer of Sacred Heart Hospital and many clubs throughout Allentown.
Survivors: Son, Gregory Crisp; Sister, Mary Schuster; Nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown. Viewing: 9:00 AM, Wednesday, until time of services at the funeral home. (www.weberfuneralhomes.com)
