Linford (Lynn) Hillegas, 83, of Bethlehem, Pa passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Muhlenberg Hospital. He was the husband of Onnalee(Canfield) Hillegas for 61 years. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Linford G. and Florence( Hartung) Hillegas. Linford was a Firefighter for the city of Bethlehem for 28 years until retiring. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Oklahoma City. Survivors: daughters, Lynda Ruth of Bethlehem Twsp. and Brenda Schmidt and husband Bruce of Hellertown. son, Richard Hillegas and wife Lorie of Cheyenne, Wyoming. 3 grandsons, Mathew Ruth, Michael and Justin Schmidt. 1 great-grandaughter, Alexis Ruth. sisters, Trudy Shaw of Pottsville, and Evelyn Galgocy of Northhampton.
