Slepetz Jr.
January 14, 1947 – March 30, 2024
Lewis J. Slepetz, Jr., age 77, passed away at home on March 30, 2024, with his loving family at his side. Born in Freemansburg, PA on January 14, 1947, he was the son of Lewis Slepetz (deceased) and Margaret Marconi (deceased). He was raised in Allentown, PA and moved to Wescosville, PA. He was a graduate of Dieruff High School in 1964 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17, serving from 1964 to 1968. He received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Penn State University and Master's Degree in Economics from Lehigh University. He was a member of the prior St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10th St. in Allentown and church treasurer for 12 years. He worked in the Accounting/Tax departments at Mack Trucks Inc. for 23 years and was a tax preparer for H&R Block for 20 years. He started his own Accounting/Tax practice which he had for 40 years and was a consultant for Primerica Financial for 25 years. He was also a member of the PA Society of Tax & Accounting Professionals.
His granddaughters meant the world to him and he enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. He was a man who loved helping others with any and all tax and investment questions. He will be dearly missed by his family and all of his clients.
Survivors: Life Partner Kathy Bedics. Son Brian Slepetz and his wife Lauren of Macungie. Daughter Susan Slepetz of Sterling, VA. Granddaughters Lainey and Lilly Slepetz. Brother Richard Slepetz and his wife Louise of Allentown: Sisters Christine Labenberg of Whitehall and Gail Muthard of Whitehall. Five nephews and two nieces.
Services: A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 6PM-8PM. A second viewing will be held Thursday April 4, 2024 from 9AM until the service at 10AM, all at Weber Funeral Homes 1619 Hamilton Street Allentown, PA 18102. Internment with military honors to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Airport Road, Allentown, PA.
