Obituary

Leslie H "Les" Baker, of Allentown, passed away on January 24th at the age of 83. He was born in Allentown to the late: Leslie and Matah (Raber) Baker and has been married for 63 years to his loving wife Joan (Peste) Baker. Les was employed for 30 years as a repair and installation technician by Bell Telephone Company of Pa, retiring in 1985. Previously he had been an electrician's helper at Bethlehem Steel. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 1st Cavalry Division 16th Recon Company. Les was a member of the Howard L. Peter American Legion Post 576, in Allentown, a life member of the Greater Allentown Pioneers Club and W.E. Lucent Travelers. He was predeceased by and infant daughter Donna Marie and a brother Ronald.
Survivors: Wife Joan, Sons: Ronald Baker and wife Mari Ann and James Baker and wife Kelly. Grandchildren: Angela Bashaw and Ryan Baker. Great Grandson Evan Baker
Service: A visitation will be held on Saturday January 30th starting at 10 AM to be followed by a service at 11AM; both will be at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton Street in Allentown.
