Leon T. Loch
Leon T. Loch, 85, of Coopersburg, died Sept. 6, 2011 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Nevin T. and Bertha Mattie (Benedict) Loch. He was the loving husband of Ruth (Ford) Loch for over 57 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Battle of the Bulge. He was an insurance adjuster for General Motors for 30 years. He was a high school band and orchestra teacher. He was a former member and choir director of the Calvary Baptist Church, Allentown. He majored in music at Ithaca College. He played in the orchestra and jazz combo at the Senior Citizen Center of Allentown. He tutored at the Allentown Literacy Center. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Survivors: Wife, Ruth; Son, Edward, husband of Christine of Coopersburg; Daughter, Ellen, wife of Shae Sheff of KS; Six Grandchildren, and nine Great-Grandchildren.
