Kunigunde (Kuni/ Connie) Jost

Born 8/16/1931 in Petzenhausen , Bavaria, Germany, passed on 1/17/2021 due to natural causes. She is predeceased by her husband John Jost Jr (1929-2018) to whom she was married for 64 years. She was the daughter of Maximillian Dietrich (1896-1978) and mother Johanna (née Jakob – 1896-1931) and Mother Magdelena (née Kirmeyr) Dietrich (1909-1985). She was raised on a small farm in Bavaria, working hard along side her siblings and passing those same qualities along to her daughters and grandchildren. She immigrated to the United States in 1953 to marry and begin a new journey. She maintained a close relationship with her family in Germany, as we travelled back and forth over the years learning the old world traditions which she grew up with. She spent her life taking care of everyone else – she was the rock of the family. Raising 3 daughters who will try every day to carry the many memories Mom left behind. She was a phenomenal woman, spoiling us all by cooking and baking everything from scratch, maintaining large vegetable garden, canning for the entire family while working on their small farm in New Tripoli. She was the best Mother and Oma that one could ask for. Thank you Mom/Oma for the best years of your life. SURVIVORS: She is survived by her sister Magdelena (née Dietrich) Michalke wife of Robert, Kaufering, Bavaria Germany, daughters: Susan Roesch wife of Ricki, Joan Jost, Rosemarie Manley, wife of John (Jack) Manley Sr, grandchildren: Christopher Roesch, Stephen Roesch, and John (Jack) Manley Jr., Great Grand Child Alison Roesch. Nieces Angelika Michalke , Kornelia Michalke and Nephew Markus Michalke. Predeceased by husband John in 2018, brother Maximillian Dietrich (1930-1931), sister Irmgard Dietrich (1929 – 1931), along with brothers Maximillian (1932- 2011), Karl Dietrich (1934-2014). Services will be private.
