Obituary

Kermit K. Klotz, 73, of Macungie died Thursday November 12, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of Madeline H. (Henke) Klotz. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on October 24, 2009. Born in Heidelberg Twp., he was a son of the late Melvin F. and Annie M (Bittner) Klotz. Kermit was a member of the Teamsters Local 773 of Allentown. He was a driver for the former R. P. Hutchinson Oil Co. of Macungie before retiring in 2001. He previously was employed by the former Holmes Trucking of Allentown and the former Phoenix Dye Works. He was a member of Morganland Lutheran Church of Orefield and a Korean War veteran serving with the U.S.M.C. He was a member of the Macungie V.F.W. and the Mercantile Club of Emmaus. Survivors: Wife; son, Kevin K. Klotz, of Allentown; daughter Theresa A. Klotz of Coplay; grandson, Thomas P. Klotz and wife Meghann of Dyer, IN; brothers, Larry N. of Catasauqua and Sherwood S. of Allentown; sister, Linda C. Klotz of Macungie.
