IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Katherine
Lemko
October 2, 1932 – May 7, 2019
Katherine (Ochlan) Lemko, 86, of Coopersburg, PA, formerly of New York, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019. She was the wife of the late Eugene Lemko. Born in Hairy Hill, Canada, Province of Alberta, October 2, 1932, Katherine was the daughter of the late Konstantin and Anna (Hlinka) Ochlan.
Katherine was a graduate of the Washington Irving High School for Girls, in New York City, June 1950, with a concentration in Business. Following her graduation, Katherine worked for Haskins & Sells, in New York, as a bookkeeper. After her marriage to Eugene, they moved to Pennsylvania where Katherine worked as a bookkeeper for the Saucon Valley County Club and for Lemko Company, Inc. Katherine will be remembered for her imaginative instinct, her quirky attitude among serious people, and her love expressed through cooking. Katherine loved the idea of travel and enjoyed several trips with family and her longtime high school friends, Marie and Santa. Katherine prided herself in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her three children: Julianna (Lemko) Masluk, Susan (Lemko) Hughes, and Steven Lemko; and is lovingly reunited with her son, Daniel Lemko. She will be thoughtfully remembered by her four grandchildren: Nicholas, Nolan, Stephanie, and Kara; and cherished in being Gi-Gi to four great-grandchildren: Graham, Grayson, Vera, and Declan.
Her family will celebrate her life in a private ceremony.
