IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julius "Jules"
F. Brunner
February 9, 1934 – July 14, 2025
Julius "Jules" F. Brunner, 91, of Allentown, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025.
Jules was born on February 9, 1933 to the late Julius and Theresa (Halyman) Brunner in Allentown, PA and was a proud lifelong resident. He graduated from Allentown High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. After his military service, Jules dedicated his career to the United States Postal Service, retiring as Superintendent of Postal Operations at the Allentown Post Office.
Jules enjoyed life with his wife Margaret "Midge" Willgruber Brunner to whom he was married for 47 years until her passing in 2017. He had a deep love of traveling, bowling, skiing, listening to polka music, and singing in the choir at St. Thomas More Church. Jules' and Midge's shared joy of music and community, and their strong faith was a cornerstone of their life together.
In his later years, Jules took great pleasure in visiting with neighbors around his West End home and nurturing the friendships that sustained him. He had a lifelong love of cars and driving, and even in recent years, he made long drives to New York to visit his surviving big sister Rosemarie Schlossberg, and nephew Michael. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews on the Willgruber side of the family.
Jules will be remembered for his gentle nature, quiet humor, and enduring devotion to family, friends, and community.
