Joyce Kay (Brinker) Costa, 78, passed away peacefully in the home of her son, Joseph, in South Whitehall Twp. Surrounded by her loving family on April 4, 2012. She was born in Allentown on April 10, 1933 to the late Earl Brinker, Sr. and Pearl (Bittenbender) Brinker. Joyce was the wife of Joseph G. Costa, Sr. and a devoted mother to her 8 children. Prior to marrying her husband, she worked for Western Electric. She then took on a new career as a homemaker and helped with the family business. Later, in her retirement years, she worked for Barry Costa Floral Design. Joyce loved spending time with her most prized possessions, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beyond her family, Joyce enjoyed bingo, casino trips, ceramics, crocheting, and gardening. She graduated from William Allen High School in 1952. Survivors: Husband, Joseph G. Costa, Sr.; sons, Richard Costa and his wife Janet, Jeffrey Costa and his wife Irma, Joseph G. Costa, Jr. and his wife Deborah, Barry Costa and his wife Michelle, John Costa and his wife Anita, David Costa and his wife Susan; daughter Susan Krum and her husband Tony; 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brother Oliver Brinker and his wife Jean. Predeceased by a son James Costa and brothers, Earl Brinker, Jr. and Donald Brinker.
