Joseph Ponaski, of Allentown, passed away on April 2 at the age of 86. He was an honest loving father and gidu who instilled his family with good values. Joseph was born in Bethlehem to the late John and Mary (Wandzell) Ponaski. He was the husband of the late Amelia "Jamel" (Abraham) Ponaski, who passed away in 2000. He was predeceased by his daughter Rita J. Mowery. He served with the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 1st Class with the Seabees and worked as a straightiner in the beamyard of Bethlehem Steel until he retired in 1985. Survivors: 2 Sons: Jim and wife Audrey of Kalispell, Montana, and Joseph "Dino" of Bethlehem. 2 Daughters: Pat A. Green of Allentown, Joann E. and husband John Dudosh of Catasauqua. 8 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Services: A viewing will be held on Wednesday April 7 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM to be followed by a service at 10:30am at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to the Boys Club in Bethlehem.
