Joseph Michael
Nemeth
February 18, 1940 – January 7, 2021
Joseph M. Nemeth passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Irene Nemeth and his sister, Patricia Ann Dolgos. He is survived by nephews, Christopher, Patrick, and Thomas Dolgos and brother-in-law, Joseph Dolgos. He is also survived by many cousins, friends, and his fellow train enthusiasts from a number of clubs, most notably the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society. Joe was a U.S. Navy veteran, and served on the U.S.S. Enterprise , taking part in the naval blockade during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Following his service in the navy, he went on to a long career with Western Union and later Accu-Sort Systems. He was a long standing member of St. Stephen of Hungary Church in Allentown and later St. Paul Catholic Church. Joe was an avid train buff and took many trips with friends across the U.S. and Europe to photograph trains. His kindness and generosity will be missed.
Calling hours will be 10:00am - 12:00pm, Saturday, April 3rd at Weber Funeral Home 1619 Hamilton St. Allentown, PA 18102. A private interment at Holy Saviour Cemetery will immediately follow.
