Joseph J. Lulf
Joseph J. "Whitey" Lulf, 88, of Coopersburg, died May 23, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury twp. He was the loving husband of Alice A. (Sebenello) Lulf for 61 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William and Marie (Oswald) Lulf. An Army medic and German speaking interpreter in WWII, Joe received a European Campaign Medal with a Silver Service Star and an Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal with a Bronze Star. He was a member of the United Steelworkers of America 2599 and retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1976 after 34 years of service. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians local 45.
Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Carol, wife of John S. Bowen of Salisbury Twp.; Granddaughters, Alica, wife of Daniel Graner and Julia Tomcics, both of Salisbury Twp.; Great Grandsons, Matthew D. Tomcics and Brandon M. Graner. He was predeceased by a brother, William, killed in WWII.
