Joseph E. Kern, 78, of Allentown, passed away February 27, 2018. He was the son of the late Joseph E. Kern and Hilda (Berger) Lauser. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Gloria (Gulkewicz) Kern.

After graduating from Whitehall High School, class of 1957, Joseph went on to serve our country in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. After, he continued his 39 year career in banking, starting at First National Bank and retiring from Corestates Bank in 1998. In his free time, Joseph is remembered loving golfing, fishing, and being an avid Eagles fan.

SURVIVORS:  In addition to his wife, Gloria, Joseph is survived by his daughter, Amy Keeler, wife of Dan and their children, Logan and Zoe; his sister Jeanne, his brother David, and many nieces and nephews.

Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa, and two brothers, Winfield and Darwin.
