Joseph L. Janotka Jr., 76, of Allentown, passed away May 8, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph L. Janotka Sr. and Ruth (McClafferty) Janotka. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Karen (Unger) Janotka.

Joseph worked as an industrial electrician for Bethlehem Steel for 32 years and volunteered at many youth organizations in support of his children and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He loved traveling with his family, especially to Disney. Joseph was lovingly dedicated to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is lovingly remembered by his children: Christopher J. Janotka and his wife, Suzi, and Jeffrey L. Janotka and his wife, Donna; five grandchildren, two of which he and his wife raised: Christopher A. Janotka and his wife, Mariah, and Zachary J. Janotka and his wife, Jessica; and additionally, Michael Janotka and his wife Sarah, Jeffrey L. and Jordan T. Janotka; three great-grandchildren: Roman, Robert, and Savannah Janotka; two great-grand puppies: Chewy and Kylo; a sister, Rosemary, wife of Thomas Long, a sister-in-law, Cindy Schleh, and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday June 2, 2023 from 9AM until the mass of Christian burial at 10AM, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 1046 W Cedar St, Allentown, PA 18102. Masks respectfully requested in church.
