Joseph J. Hoffman, Jr.
Joseph J. Hoffman, Jr., 65, passed away on April 8, 2015 at his residence in Whitehall. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Regina B. (Blickley) Hoffman and the late Joseph J. Hoffman, Sr. He was the devoted husband of Marianne (Toczek) Hoffman for 41 years. He was co-owner and operator of the Thomas L. Hoffman Co., electrical contractors in Allentown with his brother after his father's passing in 1993. He worked part time in the Army & Navy Store gun department for over 30 years. Joseph was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Allentown. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1967. Joseph was an avid hunter and enjoyed his many trips to Wyoming to hunt. He belonged to the Ontalaunee Rod and Gun Club. He was past president of the Holy Spirit School Booster Club. Joseph was very involved with his daughters' athletics, especially as their softball coach and biggest fan. He loved spending time with his family at the cabin in the mountains and lying on the couch watching NASCAR. He loved his family and cherished his grandchildren, especially Joshua and Sophia.
Survivors: Wife, Marianne; Daughters, Gwen, wife of James Millets of Coplay and Audra, wife of Jason Kahr of Northampton; Grandchildren, Amber, Kelsey, and Hope Millets and Joshua Joseph and Sophia Kahr; Brother, John M., husband of Mary Pat of Allentown; Sisters, Anne Regina, wife of Joseph J. Szvetitz of Valrico, FL, Marian J., wife of attorney John F. Spirk of Bethlehem, and Kathryn M., wife of Dan Giovanelli of Marysville, PA. He was predeceased by a daughter.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM Sat., April 11, 2015 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1065 Fullerton Ave., Allentown, PA with Father John Krivak presiding. Viewing: 6:00-8:00 PM, Fri., April 10, 2015 and 8:30-9:30 AM, Sat., April 11th at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA. Interment will follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery.
