Joseph "Joe" G. Dimovitz, 85, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was born May 24, 1938 in Allentown, the son of the late John and Rose (Gregory) Dimovitz.
Joe proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years as a Seaman. His last assignment included the USS Forrestal. Joe then worked for the City of Allentown for 34 years as an engineer and land surveyor. He was a member of the American Legion Post #576.
He is survived by two sons, Scott Dimovitz and Gary Dimovitz; daughter, Alex McHenry; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marleen Williams and Patricia Laross.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of many years, Linda (Rehrig) Dimovitz; daughter, Rhonda; and two brothers, John and Bill.
Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. in Allentown. A Public Viewing will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 starting at 8:00 A.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 9:00 A.M. all at Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. 1619 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's memory to First United Methodist Church, 840 Trenton Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030.
