John (Yonk) Turanchik
John (Yonk) Turanchik, 84 of Hamburg, passed away on November 14 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Michael Sr. and Mary (Sivulka) Turanchik. He was the loving husband of the late Frances Gasdaska Turanchik for 49 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Allentown. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard. John retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1975.
Survivors: Son; George Turanchik and his wife Mary of Naperville Ill. Daughters; Sandy, wife of William Romanyshyn of Egypt. Mary Ann Turanchik of Hamburg. Grandchildren; Matthew, Circe, David, Breanna, Jack, Jarrett. Sister; Verna Makarchuk of Bethlehem. Brother; Edward of Florida. Predeceased by brother; Michael Jr., Sisters; Helen, Anna, & Pauline, Mary Denofa, Julia Pastelyak, Irene Horvath, and Margaret Popp.
Services: A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 17 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, and on Wednesday November 18 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Weber Funeral Home, P.C. 1619 Hamilton St. Allentown followed by mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in St. Paul's Catholic Church, 2nd & Susquehanna Sts.
