John P. Trinkl, 89 of Allentown died Thursday October 23, 2008 in the Abington Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret R. (Deutsch) Trinkl for the past 65 years. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Charles and Rose Trinkl. John was a metallurgist for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for over 30 years retiring in 1982. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW II and a Purple Heart recipient. Survivors: Wife; Son, John C. and wife Stephanie of Garnet Valley, PA; daughters, Margaret Ann wife of Thomas Fink of Michigan City, IN and Linda M. wife of James Smith of Huntingdon Valley; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
