John W. "Pop" Thomas, Sr., 80 of Whitehall Twp., formerly of Coopersburg died Sunday August 9, 2009 at his residence. He was the husband of Anna Mae (Houser) Thomas for the past 55 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John C. and Flora (Koch) Thomas. He was a member of the Springfield Church of the Brethren. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Survivors: Wife; son, John W. Jr. and wife Starr; daughters, Rosanne wife of Dale Popovich, Kathie wife of Michael Cascioli, Cheryl wife of Michael Scholl and Wanda wife of James Strouse; brothers, Paul, David, Richard and Willard; sisters, Betty, Gloria, Emily, Grace and Rosemarie; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers, Charles, Miles, and Kenneth; sisters, Hilda, Barbara and Joyce and beloved granddaughter, Jessica A. Cascioli. Services: 11:00 am Thursday in the church. Call 9-11:00 am.
