John F. Sabo
John F. Sabo (Pop Pop) 82 of Macungie passed away on March 20 in VNA St. Luke's Hospice. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Michael and Helen (Burda) Sabo. He was the loving husband of Bettie (Clewell) Sabo for 38 years. John served in the Navy during WWII. He was employed by Miers & Johnston Lithograph for 35 years; he also worked part-time for the past 14 years for Allen Organ. He was a member of the VFW Post 2124; he was also an avid bowler for 45 years with the Jordan Ace's. At the age of 64, John completed two Marine Corps. Marathons.
Survivors: Wife, Sons; John Sabo Jr. & his wife Donna of Northampton, Michael & his wife Patti of Ohio. Lewis & his wife Michele of Allentown. Daughters; Jane Funari & her husband John of Allentown, Carroll Quigg of Allentown. Step-Son; Stephen Kametler of Baltimore, MD. Step-Daughters; Cindy Mulligan & her husband Tim of Wescosville, Susan Kametler of Allentown. Brother; Chuck of Bethlehem. Sister; Helen Lucas of Coopersburg. John was predeceased by a sister, Marie and a brother, Joseph.
