Obituary

John, 79, passed away at home on Oct. 1, 2012. He was born in Allentown, PA on May 26, 1933 to the late Richard J. and Laura Stevenson Ott. He is pre-deceased by first wife and mother of his sons Nancy (Calcagni) Ott, son John S. Ott Jr., and brother Roy S. Ott. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict, worked at Mack Trucks as a tool grinder for over 30 years, retired, and then found work doing maintenance at Northampton Community College. He was a member of the local UAW and the L.V. Blues Network.
Survivors: Wife Donna (Dotterer) Yuhas Ott with whom he shared 5 ½ years of marriage; son Richard G. Ott and wife Cynthia; granddaughter Amber S. Ott; sisters Jeanette Bilger and Susanne Messner and husband Robert; and sister-in-law Paula, nieces, nephews, and many other loving family and friends.
Services: We will all be celebrating the life of a man who was loving, caring, generous, accepting and who was a friend to everyone he met. Viewing Thu. Oct. 4, 7-9pm and Fri. Oct. 5, 10-11am. Service at 11am. All at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 W. Hamilton St, Allentown. Internment at Cedar Hill Memorial Park to follow.
