John Lawrence McDermott, of Long Pond, Pa, passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 69. He was born in Wilson, N.C. to the late Frances J. and Doris Lee (Bell) McDermott and has been, married to his loving wife Suzann (Rozzi) for the past 40 years. John was a generous man who was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was loved by all. He was the former owner of Major Hyundai of Stroudsburg prior to his retirement and was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Pocono Pines.

He will be lovingly remembered by his: wife Suzann, Children: John and wife Jillian McDermott, Matthew McDermott and Katherine Knecht, Nicholas and wife Alycia McDermott, Dominique McDermott and husband David Durko Jr. and his eight grandchildren: Layla, Jocelyn, Lileigh, John, Charlotte, David, Vail, and Gianna.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, October 9th, 2021, starting at 11AM until the mass of Christian burial at 12PM, all at St. Maximilian Kolbe 5112 Pocono Crest Drive, Pocono Pines, PA 18350.
