John D. Lynn Sr., of Center Valley, passed away on June 29, 2026 at the age of 88. He was born in Bethlehem, Pa to the late: Burton and Mary (Tremmel) Lynn and in 1963 he married his loving wife Nancy C. (Chamberlain). John graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1960 with a degree in geology. After college, he served in the U.S. Army. John worked for Bethlehem Steel in the research department from 1960-2000. He received numerous patents and was a little league coach at Southern Lehigh. John was a member of St. Joseph Church in Coopersburg, served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Family: Wife of 63 years Nancy Lynn, Children: Predeceased by Daughter Mary E. DiEmedio, Son John D. Lynn Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Schwenksville, Pa, Predeceased by Son Michael J. Lynn- survived by Daughter in Law Kathleen Lynn of Chalfont, Pa, Daughter Karen Darantiere and husband Louis of Paris, France. 7 Grandchildren: Lauren Aker and husband Andrew, Caroline Anderson, David Anderson, Jake Lynn and wife Kelsey, Zack Lynn and wife Kathleen, Morgan Poillon and husband Richard, and Charles Darantiere and wife Alice. 3 Great Grandchildren: Ellie Poillon, Robert J. Lynn and Richard Poillon IV. Brothers: James, widower of Rosemary of Grapevine, TX, Christopher and wife Melanie of Easton, Pa. Sister: Eve Simmers and husband David of Bethlehem, Pa. Services: A viewing will be held at 9:00 AM to be followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM on Friday July 3, both will be held at St. Joseph Church, 505 St. Josephs Road, Coopersburg, Pa.
