John J. Luettgen, Jr.
John J. Luettgen, Jr., 74 of Allentown, was called home in the hands of the lord, comforted by his loving family. He was the son of the late John J. Sr. and Lillian (Heckenberger) Luettgen and the husband of Dolores (Fabrick) Luettgen for the past 51 years. He was a member Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Allentown. John was a 1953 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. As a youth, he served as an Altar Server and later as one of the first Lector's at Sacred Heart Church along with being a former member of the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. He served in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. John was employed by the former Bethlehem Steel Company for many years until his retirement.
Survivors: Wife, Sons; Stephen M. Luettgen of Allentown, Joseph M. husband of Lynne Luettgen of Cochranville, PA, John A. Luettgen of Binghamton, NY, James A. husband of Rhonda Luettgen of Shenandoah, David J. husband of Sue Luettgen of York, PA. Daughter; Joanne B. wife of David Supko of Forest City, PA. Grandchildren; Ciara, Andrew, Philip, Jonathan, Daniel, Ellen, David, Emily, Jack, Zachary, Caitlin and Nicholas. Step-Grandchildren; Lindsey, Erin & Jill. John was predeceased by two Sisters; Joanne Issermoyer and Mary Ellen Lean.
Services: Viewing, Wednesday, August 19 from 9:00am until 10:00am followed by a mass of Christian Burials at 10:00 all in the church. Weber Funeral Home, P.C. 1619 Hamilton St. Allentown.
