John W. Lener, 73, of Whitehall, passed on January 26th, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He was the husband of Rose Mary Lener. Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late John Lener and Rosina (Garger) Lener. He was a retired insurance agent for American General Insurance and an independent insurance agent before fully retiring. He served as president of the Whitehall-Coplay School Board in 1973 and was a founding member of the Fullerton Memorial Community Association. He was a member of the Saint Thomas More Church, Allentown.
Survivors: Wife, Rose Mary (Buvidis) Lener. Daughters, Deborah, wife of Gary Zuber of Audubon,PA and Michelle, wife of Dennis Williams of Chapel Hill, NC. Four Grandchildren; Justin Zuber, Meredith Zuber, Samantha Williams and Alexis Williams.
