John J. Janny
John J."Lolly" Janny 83, of Allentown passed away on September 17 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born in Northampton; he was the son of the late Stephen and Rose (Kurtz) Janny. John was the husband of Bernadine P. (Rawski) Janny for the past 52 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception church, Allentown. John worked for the PA State Liquor Control Board and Bonney Forge, retiring in 1990. John was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Beneficial Society & Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Hungarian Club, Northampton & the 200 Club, he was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed Bowling, watching Notre Dame Football, he was an avid Baseball Fan, he loved the Philadelphia Phillies where he had a minor league contract as a Pitcher, he was know as "Lefty Janny" for his left handed pitching. He enjoyed Polka Music; he enjoyed his retirement & spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors: Wife, Daughters; Cindy Janny of Allentown, Patty Jurasits & her husband Jeff of Allentown. Sons; John Janny & his wife Cathy of Whitehall, Philip Janny and his wife Linda of Allentown. Sisters; Frances Rupinski & Mary Matika both of Whitehall. Grandchildren; Daniel & Stephanie Jurasits, Emily, Mary Rose, & Kaitlyn Janny. Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by a brother; Stephen Janny.
Services; Viewing; Tuesday, September 21st 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Wednesday September 22nd 8:30am to 10:30am in Weber Funeral Home 502 Ridge Ave. Allentown, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Immaculate Conception church.
