John R. Kaufenberg
John R. "Jack" Kaufenberg, 66, of New Tripoli, formerly of Lower Milford Twp. died Aug. 10, 2011 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, S. Whitehall Twp. Born in Walnut Grove, MN, he was a son of the late Norman and Mildred (Baumann) Kaufenberg. He was the husband of Irene (Hilden) Kaufenberg for 41 years. He was a decorative soldier in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He sold surgical equipment for many years until retiring in 1991 due to an illness. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Limeport. He earned his bachelors degree from the California State Univ. at North Ridge. He was involved with the Southern Lehigh Youth Football Assoc., Southern Lehigh Little League, Limeport Athletic Assoc., and the Coopersburg V.F.W. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer.
Survivors: Wife, Irene; Son, Peter; and Brothers, James, Michael, Anthony, and Timothy.
