John W. Henninger, age 78, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in Coal Township, PA. He was born July 24,1945 in Allentown, the son of the late William John and Edna (Nunnemaker) Henninger.

John graduated from Dieruff High School and worked many years as an electrician and then a patrol officer at the Lehigh Valley International Airport. He was known as a practical joker, who had a passion for Elvis Presley and Halloween. He was a family man and loved them dearly.

John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gisela (Behrens) Henninger; two sons Kyle and Dion Henninger; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Stephen and Dennis Henninger; and sister, Cathy Mitman.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Michelle Henninger-Ainscough.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Weber Funeral Homes 502 Ridge Avenue, Allentown, PA 18102. Chaplain Patrick McCormick will be presiding the service at 7:00 P.M.
