John J. Harkins, III, 64 of Albrightsville formerly of Allentown died Thursday September 18, 2008 in the Hospice House of VNA of East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Georgieanna E."Kandi" (Wills) Harkins being united on August 24, 1974. Born in Allentown he was a son of the late John J. Jr. and Marcella L (Glowaski) Harkins. He was the proprietor of the former Harkins Appliance of Allentown for 40 years before retiring in 2004. He was a US Navy Viet Nam veteran and a former member of Unami Rod and Gun Club of Emmaus. Survivors: Wife; son, John J. IV; daughters, Kathleen M. Harkins and Jenna L. Licini; sister, Susan J. Harkins; grandson Dominic Licini.
