John Bendas, Jr., 90, of Center Valley passed away on July 1, 2012 in Allentown. He was born in Allentown on April 11, 1922 to the late John and Anna (Kapcala) Bendas. He was pre-deceased by his wife Margaret with whom he shared 65 years of marriage, and by 5 siblings. He served in the Army in the Philippines during W.W. II, and later worked and retired from Bethlehem Steel. After retirement he enjoyed spending his time on his farm in Center Valley surrounded by family.
Survivors: He is survived by sons Michael J. Bendas and wife Donna of Center Valley; John F. Bendas, widower of Barbara of Center Valley; Robert F. Bendas and wife Sheree of El Cajon, CA; Daniel J. Bendas of Costa Mesa, CA; daughters Margaret Ann, wife of Craig Roth of Center Valley; Jeanne L. wife of Fred Mackes of Center Valley; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends.
Services: Viewing Thu. July 5, 7-9pm and Fri. July 6, 9:30-10:30am, with a service to follow at 10:30am, all at Weber Funeral Homes, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown. Internment at Resurrection Cemetery to follow service.
