Obituary

Joanne McLaughlin Lynn, 78, of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully and gracefully in the presence of her loving husband, Bob, on Sunday, February 9, 2014 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's disease. Joanne was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 4, 1935. She graduated from Saint Mary of the Mount High School in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh and then worked at Westinghouse and Alcoa. On October 25, 1958, she married Robert (Bob) S. Lynn of Naugatuck, Connecticut and moved to New Jersey. They resided in Florham Park, New Jersey for over 25 years. Joanne attended the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey but devoted most of her time to providing a warm and caring household for her family. Joanne was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. In her free time, she enjoyed their summer residence in Ocean City, New Jersey as well as traveling, reading and visiting Pittsburgh. Most of all, she loved the holidays and spending time with her family.

Survivors: Joanne is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bob; her daughter, Kathleen Harrop and husband Bob of Sinking Spring, PA and their children, Matthew, Shannon and Colin; her son, Daniel of Flemington, NJ and wife Kristine and their children, Erika and Ryan; and her daughter, Mary Ellen Walker and her husband Keith of Fleetwood, PA; her siblings Ray and Maureen; and many more nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Joanne is predeceased by her son, Bobby; and her siblings George and Donald.

Services: A visitation will be held at 10:00am, with funeral mass following at 11:00am, on Friday, February 14, 2014. Both will be held at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church located at 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA. All family and friends are invited to attend. Internment at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem to follow. Arrangements by Weber Funeral Homes, Allentown, PA.
