Joan Peste Baker, 90, of Allentown, passed away December 4, 2023. She was the wife of the late Leslie (Les)Baker. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Hilda (Decker) Peste.

Joan was employed for 30 years at the former Western Electric and AT&T, retiring in 1988 from AT&T as an inspector. She was a member and past president of the Greater Allentown Pioneer Life Member Club and WE Lucent Travelers. She graduated from Central Catholic in 1951 and chaired her reunion committee for many years.

Survivors: Sons: Ronald and wife, Mari Ann, James and wife, Kelly; grandchildren: Angela Bashaw and husband Jason, and Ryan Baker and wife Jessica; great-grandson Evan Baker and great-granddaughter Viviane Baker; a sister, Barbara Stengel.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Peste and an infant daughter, Donna Marie.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Weber Funeral Home.
