Joan, 82, of Mount Joy passed away on September 11, 2014 at Hospice in Mt Joy. She was born in Akron, Lancaster County on September 29, 1931 to the late John P. and Katherine (Conlin) Allwein. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an amazing person loved by all. She is predeceased by her brother John (Skip) Allwein.

Her loving legacy includes her husband of 66 years, Donald M. Roden Sr.; children Donald (Tuffy) Roden and wife Paulette, Ronald (Ronn) Roden and wife Jo, Terry L. Roden and wife Naomi (Chuck), Bette J. Oberle and husband Christopher, Sherrie Shaub, and Ted J. Roden and wife Lynn; sisters Kathleen Hoover and Margaret (Peggy) Frey of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many other loving family and friends. The wonderful memories of all who knew her will keep her alive in their hearts.

Joan graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and worked at Rudisill Printing and Donnelly Printing. She worked for the US Postal Service for 38 years before her retirement. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
